“I decided to use a calming, earthy palette with my hand-made pigment, Rocky Mountain #6, to bring out the subtleties in this feather painting. The delicate transitions from deep blacks to soft browns, and the playful, gentle splatters create a sense of harmony. As I painted, I focused on layering the pigments with care, allowing the feathery edges and fluid movement to capture how everything is interwoven naturally.”
