In the middle of painting this handsome fella, as I was lierally waiting for the paint to dry, I happened upon an Instagram post about buffalo. I was awestruck to learn that when a storm approaches, unlike other grazing animals, the entire herd charges straight into the storm. The bravery of that act has stuck with me and the Buffalo will always have my utmost respect.
This original watercolor is 36" x 48". The Saunders Waterford 140# watercolor paper is mounted on a wood panel. Finished with archival spray varnish and hand buffed with cold wax medium. Custom framed and ready to hang.
