Feather # 251 — Snowy Owl

“In creating this piece, I used my hand-made pigment, Marshall Fire #1, which brings a warm, earthy tone to the feather’s delicate structure. I focused on the gentle transitions and layering, allowing the dark, bold strokes to contrast with subtle, wispy strokes that mimic the feather's softness. As I painted, I felt a sense of purpose, letting each brushstroke flow naturally, creating a feeling of being gently led towards a deeper connection with nature and self.”  — Shayna, September 2024
