Feather # 230 — Blue Jay

“In painting this piece, I chose a palette of deep blues and subtle aquas to highlight the feather's elegance and the delicate nature of the little bee. The splatters and soft, flowing edges capture the gentle movement of the feather against the paper, while the smooth transitions between the colors reflect the quiet yet powerful journey it has traveled. I applied gentle, controlled brushstrokes to suggest a sense of overcoming and moving forward despite the challenges, capturing a moment where beauty and strength coexist.”  — Shayna, July 2024
